Terms of Service

By creating a Vestly account, accessing the service, or using any calculator or tool on vestly.au, you agree to these terms.
Not financial advice
Vestly is a planning and tracking tool. It provides estimates based on data you enter and on ATO rules. It is not financial, tax, or legal advice. Before making any decision about an investment property, a tax return, or a sale, consult a registered tax agent, financial adviser, or lawyer.
We do not guarantee the accuracy of any calculation, ranking, or recommendation. Tax rules change. Rates change. You are solely responsible for verifying any figure Vestly produces before acting on it.
Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old to use Vestly.
- You're responsible for keeping your password secure.
- You're responsible for everything that happens under your account.
- One person per account. Sharing logins across multiple people breaches these terms.
Your data, your property
You own the data you put into Vestly. We store it, process it, and show it back to you. We don't claim rights over your portfolio information, documents, or notes.
You can export your data at any time via the Reports → Export CSV feature, or delete your entire account (and everything in it) from Settings. Deletion is permanent.
Acceptable use
Do not use Vestly to:
- Scrape, rate-limit-abuse, or reverse-engineer the service.
- Upload illegal, defamatory, or infringing content.
- Attempt to access data that doesn't belong to your account.
- Resell access or build a competing product using Vestly's output.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules.
Availability
We aim for 99.9% uptime but make no guarantees. The service is provided "as is" with no warranty of fitness for any particular purpose.
Pricing and billing
During early access, Vestly is free. When paid plans launch, you will get at least 30 days' notice. Existing users at that time will be offered a loyalty discount.
Paid plans will bill monthly or annually via Stripe. Cancel anytime from the Billing page; you keep access until the end of your current period. Refunds are issued within 14 days of purchase if you haven't used any paid feature.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vestly's total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or AUD $100 if you're on the free tier). We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages including lost profits, lost investment opportunities, or tax penalties.
Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot legally be excluded.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be emailed to registered users at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after that constitutes acceptance.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any dispute must be brought in an Australian court.
